Faint Suite (2007) receives its Portuguese premiere with dance by Romulus Neagu at the 4º Festival de Música da Primavera de Viseu.

Faint Suite – Pedro Rebelo (2007)
This work is a collection of electroacoustic miniatures originally composed for the double CD release of the Faint trio with Pedro Rebelo (piano), Franziska Schroeder (saxophones) and Steve Davis (drums). The trio was formed in 2007 and aims to explore the thresholds between jazz and contemporary music through improvisation. The electroacoustic miniatures presented here are based on the original instrumental recordings and act as short compositional statements derived from spontaneous musical materials.

O trio foi formado em 2007 e tem como objectivo a exploração dos limites entre o jazz e a music contemporânea através da improvisação. As miniatures electroacústicas aqui apresentadas são baseadas nas gravações instrumentais do trio e funcionam como propostas composicionais derivadas de materiais musicais espontâneos.
